Monsters 03:17
monsters where there are children there are monsters in their mind and in the dark light a spark, wake them up monsters do come out ahead at all times they would spread never fed up instead in my mind and in the dark light a spark, wake me up I see you time and again I blink against awakening wanna keep my dream within where there are dreams there are windows rather clouded and obscure what's behind is not for sure in my mind and in the dark light a spark, wake me up I'll be at a loss for words you know I do not speak a lot anyway and if there was something to say it would lead us astray I don't fall over I just sway whether night, whether day so be not worried, not afraid I only stay away in my mind and in the dark light a spark, wake me up
2.
Windbreak 02:58
windbreak didn't talk a lot but it was too much it weighed too heavy though I was unsteady letting you know but I was too low now I take a shape you have never seen before neither firm nor fluid neither vicious nor beloved you won't make me out not well and not about when you tried to fill my heart like a spill I waited until the wind kept still you lingered on not for a long time I am not as low as you'd like to see me but I did you a favour and pretended to be crooked and slow deep down in a hole now I drive ahead not by remote as you said your version may be right considered though your eyes I don't mind when you tried to fill my heart like a spill I waited until the wind kept still you lingered on not for a long time
3.
Sparks 03:40
sparks how can I open my eyes when that is all you expect you wanna be the keeper of my mind is there a need or just a thrill while every object in this room seems to be attached to you in no position can I sit and be comfortable with it your sharp eyes are like darts but only cause some tiny sparks I came here and got trapped I can't move forward I can't go back you blocked your ears right from the start and I carry my song all night long but it has no heart
4.
Sister 03:14
sister you're not behind and you keep up with the time give up on speed dwell on your needs and if you're terribly tired inside your capsule of silence sleep tight I woke you up when you were dead to the world outside your cave you left that way I'm far away from your travels I stay away from your gravel road on you walk flashed by lights in the dark your hands are cold let someone hold them and if you're ever in trouble I will be there to hover over you
5.
the place you come from I'm in the back seat of your car both our hearts are slow and the water is low since we came ashore you say don't worry, my love we'll arrive before dark and I won't wake you up you drive on you're strong for all that you miss is the place you're coming from I do not sleep but I defeat the sobbing in my weep while you focus on the street and the tears you don't cry they're all on your mind you drive on you're strong for all that you miss is the place you're coming from
6.
grandmother's house I move into my grandmother's house she's not at home I stay for a few hours I try to feel as at home as I can her cat on my knees her knitting in my hands by the windowsill time is standing still, still, still her cat is a soft toy and it makes me think of her fake smile I try to feel as old as I can her lump in my throat her thorns deep in my skin by the windowsill time is standing still, still, still
7.
song for a river the waves in the river the waves in the sea they glaze all the sorrow they drown and calm down we look for a refuge a place in the sun nothing to follow let the time run the pictures of seagulls the pictures of boats they save me from freezing on my way home ice floes move slowly covered with snow they keep me from musing about things I don't know while I walk in different trails in the sand, in the snow the river's gleam is catching me for the first time the waves in the river the waves in the sea they glaze all the sorrow they drown and calm down we look for a refuge placed in the sun nothing to follow let the time run
8.
Bricks/Walls 03:18
bricks/walls this land's all new to us but we don't know yet the more we plant it the less it keeps its shape we spend all night listening to the music that we like and from a distance you can hear us singing along I'll never be tired of this song it keeps going on in my head we settle down to pave and to lay bricks and then we're walled in now it feels like something's going wrong neither bricks nor walls ever made a difference to me but they're so easy to handle without care I wish we were safe without those walls around in our heads it's all clear out of town
9.
endless tides I once owned a bird but it moved from my hand to a swarm when I left for the sea time went by I did not come up like a whale that refused to breathe go up and breathe in birds fly ahead in the thick dark sky I can hear their wings beat this is the night I will make a fire and warm my empty hands warm my empty hands while endless tides surround my isle
10.
Trapped 02:46
trapped you wish you set yourself in stone you'd be content and go it alone worthwhile you'd feel like one of a kind not confused with another ones mind you hold on to a preset measuring tape your size doesn't fit and you got the wrong shape too many of you block your view too many of you won't get through too many of you are stuck in the air the more you are the less space to spare slow down when you're trapped the world is breathing you in and out you will make a difference there is no doubt you're shifting and turning all along and you're twisting the air you are among slow down when you're trapped
11.
Interlude 00:36
12.
Beat 03:28
beat I don't really hush because I do not speak I don't really hum singing with my mouth closed I don't really pause sitting on a chair and stare I'm walking with a light through my inner side and find my heart stuck in my mind yes I feel there is a sea in the place it's got to be it's stormy and it's deep with no ability to beat that's the way my sailboat hits the outer rim sail no more take the wind away and the sea essentially is a lake only so reduce your speed the land is close and not that hard to reach
13.
about travelling all the sticks and the stones I brought back home my worn out shoes my dirty clothes ain't real the shiny face on the former page easy to look at easily breaks when you page down nothing has changed, nothing has changed I'm just a bit more down to earth my travels are copies of black and white I hang them up and I draw a line from here to where I've been the map is spoiled by the lines I draw they move up and down and all over and my eyes are stuck in a black plot nothing has changed, nothing has changed I'm just a bit more down to earth
14.
flock of birds you let me walk through a forest with clouds in the crowns protecting my way from the sun the lack of light adapts the day to the night I stray and I stay callow now in a pack I run away from your wicked sun onto a glade now in a pack I run onto a glade you set my boat on a river straightened and still no wind on its watersides I keep time with rowing but still don't get my boat going I'm short of breath now in a shoal I swim away from your silent wind into a storm now in a shoal I swim into storm but I will never see you fly in a flock of birds
15.
Old Mind 03:03
old mind once in a while I wish that I would brave your cold and just take hold of your hand but my hands are tied and cold as well I dwell in my old mind I raise the dust I haunt behind the creaky walls beware and don't get lost more and more I speak for you and clean my dusty mind for you when I walk out in the sun I see the phantoms are all gone old minds sometimes forget and faint like chalk arrows on rainy days the pavement's clear, direction's new and nothing old to hold on to
